HIGH ADVENTURE

One of the highlights of Scouts careers often are memories built on a high adventure trip. These trips can be BSA national high adventure camps such as Philmont, Sea Base, Summit Bechtel, and Northern Tier. Or it can be at several other council run high adventure camps such as Swamp Base or Base Camp Adventure Lodge (fka Moab). Or it can be a high adventure camp that your own unit puts on such as a canoeing trip to the Boundary Water Canoe Area (BWCA).

No matter what your Scouts choose, it’s bound to be a blast! But what if your unit can’t fill out a crew or are short a leader or have an opening at the last minute? Most of these high adventure camps charge by the crew whether that crew is maxed out or is two Scouts light. But if you are short of your maximum crew size, that just means everyone else has to pay more. This is where Eastern Waters can help out.

Eastern Waters has a High Adventure Coordinator who can help fill those spots. So, if you are a unit that has a high adventure planned, we strongly recommend you let our High Adventure Coordinator know. That way should you have a last minute opening or are short of your maximum crew size, we can help fill out your crew and keep your costs at a minimum.

While this seems to be a great benefit for smaller Troops, it also helps larger Troops as well by helping them fill any surprise or last minute openings.

Council Operated High Adventure Camps

There are many other amazing high adventure camps located around the U.S. that are operated by the local council. If you are tired of the same old adventure, you can find other opportunities HERE.
