Scouting for Food
Northern Star Scouting discontinued the Scouting for Food food drive a couple of years back. Yet some units have kept the tradition alive.
What we are wondering is if Eastern Waters (District G) should endorse this program for all units in the district.

Facebook Poll
It was a desire to post our Facebook Group Feed to our website so Scouters didn’t need to have a Facebook account to see what is being posted.
We have since learned as the Eastern Waters (District G) Facebook Group was initially made as a private group (you needed to be accepted as a member before you could see or add posts), we cannot host this on our website. For us to host a Facebook Group feed on our website, the group must be a public group meaning anyone can add or view posts. Unfortunately once a group is made private, it cannot be converted to a public group as everything written to date would be visible to all violating the initial understanding of the users who posted previously.
So, we have a decision to make. Either we decide to create a new Facebook Group and ensure it is made public and remove our old, private Facebook group or we keep our existing Facebook Group private and abandon the idea of hosting the Facebook feed on our website.
