In Eastern Waters, we are also committed to training leaders and youth. Most of the training we cover is training not taught at University of Scouting such as Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST) and Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews (ILSC), Den Chief Training, Instructor Training, and more. We will also cover some items offered at University of Scouting. The rationale is that we want to provide as many opportunities to get leaders trained as it is so important for our youth to have trained leaders. But we also provide this training in a small group setting as University of Scouting can be intimidating for the new Scout leader.
We call our training event ‘Super Training Day.’ And we make it very affordable.
